Let's Talk: Submit Your Session, Panel or Workshop Pitch
Have a great idea for a talk? Is it full of future-y goodness? WebVisions is soliciting session and workshop abstracts for our 2016 season. While we accept submissions year long, the schedules for any given show are typically fully baked around 90 days prior to the event.
If your session or workshop is selected, WebVisions will pay an honorarium and put you up in a hotel (if you’re traveling).
The gist: Sessions run for 45 minutes including Q&A. Panels typically include 3-5 experts who know their practice inside and out. Workshops run for 3.5 hours for half-day or 7 hours for full-day.
The inside scoop: Here are the secrets that may boost your success in being selected.
- Use an intriguing, descriptive title.
- Write an overview that describes what you’ll cover, why it covers new or under explored ideas and how it explores the future of the topic.
- Provide bios for each of the speakers.
- Don’t submit (or give) a talk that is purely promotional or is a product demonstration
Ready, set, go! We’re looking forward to receiving your pitches.
