Emerging technologies are allowing multiple people to engage with digital content and collaborate in new ways. Multi-touch surfaces, gesture recognition, and digital identification are all new ways of connecting with technology that can be awkward for users, especially in a open social setting. Crafting a user experience to encourage success and collaboration is a difficult game.
In Michael Godfrey and Sam Jeibmann’s session on “Group Dynamics: User Experience for Digital Installations,” they’ll discuss these new challenges and what they mean for interactive media spaces and exhibits. As a user experience designer at Second Story, Michael will discuss how their team addresses these challenges. Sam will discuss physical prototyping of hardware and how designers and technologists have to come together to create rewarding visitor experiences.
