Henry Ford once said that "failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." User experience designers can employ Ford's idea to improve their craft by learning how products failed in the marketplace when the determining factor was experience design.
In his session on "Why We Fail," Victor will share case studies from his forthcoming book "Why We Fail" to illustrate what teams actually built, how the products failed, and how we can learn from that experience.
Victor started his career in information technology, building systems at the Boston Consulting Group, DDB Needham, and others. His design work with the Southern Poverty Law Center has won several awards.
Join mobile app development experts Shawn Wildermuth (phone dev guru), James Ashley (designer) and Moses Ngone (PhoneGap) on Thurs., Nov. 17th in an all day Mobile Hackathon for social good. The day will begin with short presentations by educators and representatives from non-profit organizations, followed by informational sessions on building apps for Windows Phone and other mobile platforms.
Teams will compete to deliver the most compelling and appealing solutions. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, including the chance to be featured in the Windows Phone marketplace.
The hackathon is a free event but we ask attendees to RSVP below. Participants in the Mobile Hackathon for Good can attend Day 2 of the WebVisions conference for only $195.
