The Webvisionary Awards submissions deadline has been extended to Friday, April 23rd, so if you haven’t bucked up the courage to submit your winning work, take a shot of rocket fuel and pony up! The Webvisionary Awards honors the most visionary, daring, and curious talent on the web by awarding them with a miniature robot. This quirky (we mean that in a good way) award show is different in every way, other than the winners receiving an award part. There are all-star judges, a comedian for a host, a killer DJ to supply the beat, and Presentation Karaoke to kick it off.

For all of the ‘last minuters’, you have a brief reprieve for the Webvisionary Awards – you may submit your project(s) for consideration by Monday, May 11 at 12:00pm Pacific Time. Our rock star judges are standing by, ready to review all of the fabulous submissions, and will send their short list of nominees to be posted on on Friday, May 15th. So, gather your best work and enter it by Monday. But be forewarned: this is our final offer.
The Webvisionary Awards recognizes outstanding work in categories that range from web apps to community sites. But more importantly, it’s a chance to strut your stuff in front of a panel of big-name judges and your peers. The cost is only $25 per entry, so submit your project today and take home some metal for your mantle. Entries will be accepted through May 8th, but don’t wait until the last minute.

Carole Guevin is the editor and founder of Netdiver, a site that’s dedicated to design and digital culture, and we ran into her via the “People You May Know” feature on Facebook. While I’m baffled by the algorithm that Facebook uses for this (it doesn’t seem to be related to whether a person is connected to my friends), it’s a pretty cool tool and we’ve reconnected with old friends and business associates with whom we’d lost touch. Carole kindly added WebVisions and the Webvisionary Awards to Netdiver’s events page and we hope to actually meet her in person one fine day.
