Margot Bowman is an artist and designer working across moving image, new media, fashion, creative direction and illustration. She is co-founder of 15Folds, an online GIF Gallery, and Creative Director of Auria, a luxury sustainable swimwear brand. Other ongoing projects include the Painted Truths series and the digital projects, everythingissoamazing.com and W.E.T.
Stefan Sagmeister formed the New York based Sagmeister Inc. in 1993 and has since designed for clients as diverse as the Rolling Stones, HBO, and the Guggenheim Museum. Having been nominated eight times he finally won two Grammies for the Talking Heads and Brian Eno & David Byrne package designs. He also earned practically every important international design award.
In 2008 a comprehensive book titled Things I have learned in my life so far was published by Abrams. Solo shows on Sagmeister Inc’s work have been mounted in Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Prague, Cologne, Berlin, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Miami. He teaches in the graduate department of the School of Visual Art in New York and lectures extensively on all continents.
Robert has worked in digital communication since 1995. He studied in Switzerland and the Netherlands and then worked for some of the bigger German and Dutch agencies. Robert spent five years as a Business Consultant for PWC and IBM in The Netherlands. Since 2006 he has been back to design and communication; since 2009 as a partner at Edenspiekermann in Berlin. With two decades of professional experience as a designer and consultant, Robert is the Head of Digital Products and Services at Edenspiekermann in Berlin.
Marta is an interface designer at Swwweet, a small Barcelona based web design studio. When she's not messing around with CSS, she is teaching workshops on web technologies and helping organize local events like Webcat.
Carolyn has been working in the field of User Experience Design for over 16 years, as a consultant and practice leader for companies such as Open Text and Manifest Digital. Now an independent consultant, her areas of specialty include design strategy, team workshops, interaction design, information architecture, and user research and modeling. She has co-authored A Project Guide to UX Design with Russ Unger (now in its second edition) and Adventures in Experience Design with Anna van Slee. Due to her work in teaching and mentoring students and start-ups, Carolyn was named one of "Chicago's Tech 50" by Crain's Magazine.
Jason is a long standing leader in the Web design community, well know for being able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. His most recent book is CSS3 Visual Quickstart Guide available in finer book stores everywhere.
Carolina is a forward thinking researcher, lecturer, and facilitator. Sustainability, creativity, systemic thinking, and a pro-active mindset shape her role as a designer and citizen of the world. She has worldwide professional design experience in the industrial and governmental arena. In addition she has extensive experience in design teaching and facilitating workshops ranging from the academia to the industry.
Sarah started her career in interaction design in 1991 at the Yale Center for Advanced Instructional Media, creating award-winning interactive instructional software. She was an instructional technologist at Dartmouth College for 11 years before becoming Director of Web Strategy and Design. She is a renowned author of four books on web design and accessibility whose latest book is A Web for Everyone: Designing Accessible User Experiences.
NoAA has worked in digital media since 2001, and is a diverse designer specialising in brand experiences, digital products and services. She co-founded ANTARTICA in 2007, a strategic user experience design firm. In her role as creative director, NoAA has worked with startups and large companies to help discover and design new brand and digital experiences for growth in diverse markets.
Hazel Jennings is Instagram’s first content strategist. Previous gigs include Hotwire.com, and a bunch of start ups in Pittsburgh, PA. She’s also a filmmaker, feminist and minimalist living in a 200 sq. ft studio apartment.
Jason Lengstorf is the founder of Copter Labs, where he builds marketing sites for companies like Intel, PlayStation, and Precision Nutrition. His interests cover the full stack: from marketing to design to development. Outside of Copter Labs, Jason is a speaker, author, consultant, and a mediocre bartender.
Gastón Lisak is a designer/artist passionate about people, daily life and time, and he his work lets him focus on experience design, user generative content and ephemeral installations. Upon graduation, he was awarded the prestigious bronze LAUS, in recognition of his final project "The Future is Now: Co-Creation in Times of Change". Gastón was selected to became a researcher at FABRICA, Communication research centre of Benetton in the north of Italy, where he was responsible for the creation of visual pieces in the Social and Artistic program at Benetton Live Windows. There he has developed "Hidden Beauty" and "SafeToSpeak," which were selected by United Nations to be shown at Times Square, New York and Piccadilly Circus, London.
Nuno is an Australian business designer who has spent the last years bringing design thinking and methodology into organisations. He is advocate of designs shifting value from product to process. Nuno has worked in Australia and Europe, across various disciplines from product design through to strategy and business development.
Mona combines positivity, timeless wisdom, sharp design thinking and a little bit of magic glitter with her 15 years of experience in design and research to help you see around corners and realize a kind of success you didn’t necessarily expect. She started Motivate Design in 2009 to create a place where clients could get what they want, rather than what an agency needs to sell. She teaches design research and strategy at Parsons The New School for Design and balances her hypersonic speed by being a certified yoga instructor. She holds a M.S. in Marketing Communications from Boston University and a B.S. in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University.
