Nathan Shedroff

Nathan Shedroff

Nathan is a pioneer in Experience Design, Interaction Design and Information Design, speaks and teaches internationally, and is a serial entrepreneur. His many books include Experience Design 1.1Making MeaningDesign is the Problem, and the upcoming Make It So. He holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and a BS in Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design. He worked with Richard Saul Wurman at The Understanding Business and later co-founded vivid studios, a decade-old pioneering company in interactive media and one of the first Web services firms on the planet.

Faruk is a designer, developer and web standards educator with a strong passion for accessible techniques and progressive enhancement. Now busy with a new startup of his own, Faruk previously worked as Lead Designer at Apture, User Interface Engineer at Apple, and before that he built and designed Content Management Systems at a startup in The Netherlands.

Tiny, fiery Southern girl who, when she isn’t baking pies or telling you what to do, works at Mozilla as a User Experience Designer. Previously herded LOLcats at Cheezburger, Inc.

As an evangelist for design ethnography, Kelly is dedicated to understanding how real people integrate products and services into their daily lives. Goto is a sought-after international keynote lecturer and author on the topics of web and mobile strategies, usability, and design ethnography.

Jason has a proven track record of identifying upcoming trends and positioning clients to take advantage of new technology. Jeremy is technical director at Clearleft. He wrote the books DOM Scripting, Bulletproof Ajax and most recently HTML5 For Web Designers, but what he really wants to do is direct. His latest project is Huffduffer, a service for creating podcasts of found sounds.

When he is not writing on MIX Online, Nishant splits his time unevenly between: advising Microsoft teams on their Web strategy; contributing writings on design & human behavior to popular online publications like Smashing Magazine and UXMag; signing up for one-off projects like leading the ground-up redesign of Channel9; and, taking on the occasional speaking gig.

Jeff is the Visual Effects Supervisor at Industrial Light and Magic and has worked on Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, Avengers, The Chronicals of Narnia, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Star Wars: Episode III and other acclaimed, visual effects driven films.
